Well alot has happened since i last blogged. sorry about that. not had heaps of internet access until recently. so..... whats been up? btw this may be a large post.
well I noticed I haven't mentioned anything so far about my church...... so I had better. I have 'found' a really awesome church here in Rotorua. It's called Living Well and is part of the New Life 'group' or whatever. I had quite a few friends that went there and they where all real people and had like a realness in their relationship with God, and that was really attractive if i can use that term. So I had been along just before Christmas and had helped them run their christmas walk-through. that was quite fun and i got to know some great people and just be of help. So I attended for the first time on Christmas Day and it was cool. Alot of people where away on holiday and stuff, and it was really cool hanging with the youth. they where real accepting and like i didn't feel awkward and left out like you can often feel in a new environment. that meant alot to me. So people kinda knew who i was cause of the people i knew blah blah blah. well one sunday after church i was with the guys and Jannine (her and her husband Jon are the Youth Pastors) comes up and is talking to the guys about Parachute Festival in which they where running the Pre-Teens program (which is for 10-12 year olds). well next thing Jannine is telling me I'm coming as well! I was totally stoked and keen too. I had never been to Parachute and being me I like to help with events, as well as being a great way to know everyone better and do something fun.
so we arrive at Mystery Creek, Hamilton 4 hrs late, having had the car we where in overheat cause there was no water in the radiator. lol. so after a doing all the right things we ended up getting there with one of the girls mums. we arrive, set up, go to the crew meeting where Parachute Band led us in a mean worship and Chris de Jong spoke. it was there I saw my bro Jamie White for the first time in a few years. then i see my other bro Zeke! i was so stoked aye. so we have a meeting after and eat some nice guys on set-up's fish'n'chips. then we crash. i slept on the hard ground the whole time btw! lol.
So then the next morning (friday) we get up and go have a feed in the crew/artist area... and muck around, have another meeting, look around the village, spend money at Manna store (got me a switchfoot and parachute band t-shirt and a few cd's!) was meant to start signing kids up for pre-teens, but hen i saw my brother (actual brother) ben for like the forst time since before christmas! that was so awesome! I love him heaps aye. then i got of and started helpin sign kids up. went well. had sinner then went to main stage. definate huge highlight was Rapture Ruckus. He went crazy. would have to be one of the best performances of the whole event. went to bed and slept hard. got up nice and early for breakie and then back before 8am to get ready for the start of the program.
